THE MAIDEN EDITION OF THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR’S INTEGRITY AND TRANSPARENCY AWARD

The Medical Director, Dr. Usman Abubakar, has awarded two officers of Federal Medical Centre, Bida with “The Medical Director’s Transparency and Integrity Award”. This maiden award was presented at the recently concluded Ground Round which was held at the Hospital’s Conference Hall.
The award was based on ethics and transparency, with the perceived decline in honesty in the civil service, the recipients distinguished themselves among others by quickly refunding money to the government coffers. This money was advanced to them for a workshop they were to attend but never held owing to issues of logistics. He encouraged the rest of the hospital personnel to emulate them.
Mrs. Nwosu Anthonia Eseroghene and Mrs. Elizabeth Moses from the Nursing Department were announced as the recipients of the award by the Medical Director.
Mrs. Isah Azumi, the Director of Nursing Services, was delighted as the recipients of the maiden edition of this award were from her department. She also noted that the awardees merited the award as she could attest to their sincerity and dedication to work assigned to them in the department.

One of the recipients Mrs. Nwosu Anthonia E. expressed her gratitude to the hospital’s management for the honor, as she was simply doing what she thought was right and had no idea it would lead to an award. She also pledged to do more, not for the medal, but for humanity and God in Heaven, who watches over us.
